Strut Studio
Privacy Policy
Policy version July 24, 2026 · Age-assurance wording clarified August 21, 2026
Strut Studio is a fashion marketplace and social collaboration app for profiles, portfolios, messaging, Studio Deals, stories, articles, Strut TV, Studio Talk, safety reports, and payment coordination. This policy explains the main categories of information Strut Studio collects and how that information is used.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide or create in the app, including account identifiers, display name, handle, email address, phone number, profile details, profile images, wallpapers, portfolio media, posts, captions, comments, messages, story content, Studio Talk activity, Studio Deal records, saved and liked items, reports, moderation requests, verification status, support messages, and app activity needed to operate the service. Strut Studio is available only to adults age 18 or older.
On supported Apple devices, Strut Studio may ask Apple to share a Declared Age Range. Apple may describe the declaration as self-declared, guardian-declared, or confirmed. Through this flow, Strut Studio receives the age range and declaration category—not an exact birth date, Apple Account information, or identity document—and uses them only as a coarse eligibility signal, not proof of legal identity. A confirmed declaration is Apple's strongest age signal available to the app, but it does not mean Strut Studio received or checked a government ID. If sharing is declined or unavailable, Strut Studio may request self-attestation or another approved eligibility check; self-attestation is not verified adulthood.
A birthdate entered for the Circle eligibility check is processed transiently by the authenticated backend and then discarded; it is not retained in the profile, Circle submission, or app cache. Strut Studio retains only a coarse eligibility state, check source, policy version, and check time. A separate new camera-captured creator-or-brand photo showing the applicant's face and a handwritten #strutapproved phrase may be collected for manual Circle review of current presence. It is not age evidence. Strut Studio does not create a face template or use automated facial recognition from this photo. It remains private while the request is pending and is deleted after review or when the request expires. Strut Studio does not currently collect government-ID images or facial-verification media for age assurance; adding such a method later requires documented legal, product, security, and privacy review and an updated notice before collection.
Payments and Verification
Stripe or another payment processor may collect payment, payout, tax, identity, card, bank, fraud-prevention, and dispute information under its own terms. Strut Studio stores deal, payout, payment status, escrow, dispute, and transaction references needed to operate Studio Deals, but does not store full card or bank account numbers.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure accounts, display profiles and public content, power search and discovery, deliver messages, operate Studio Deals, process reports, moderate abuse, prevent fraud, improve reliability, provide support, and comply with legal, tax, safety, payment, and platform obligations.
AI-Assisted Features
If you choose to use an AI-assisted feature such as Studio Deal Draft Assist, Strut Studio may send the conversation context, profile details, and deal terms you approve for that request to an AI service provider to generate a draft. AI-assisted features are optional, should be reviewed before use, and should not be treated as legal, financial, or tax advice. Strut Studio does not use private DMs to train its own AI models.
Sharing, Service Providers, and Sale of Data
We share information with service providers only as needed to run Strut Studio, including Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, hosting, storage, databases, and backend services, Stripe for payments, payouts, fraud checks, and disputes, and AI service providers only when you use optional AI-assisted drafting or support features. We may also share information when required for safety, legal requests, dispute review, moderation, or enforcement. These providers process information under their applicable service and data-processing terms. The Firebase Terms of Service is provided for reference; using Strut Studio does not by itself make every user a Firebase customer. If you use a Stripe-powered feature, the terms presented for that feature and your role may apply; merchant or connected-account terms do not automatically apply to every user. See Stripe Legal. Strut Studio does not sell personal data.
Public Content and Private Messages
Public profiles, posts, stories, Strut Sets, articles, deals, comments, and other public activity may be visible to other users depending on privacy, blocking, moderation, and verification rules.
Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted. They are protected in transit and at rest by the service infrastructure used to operate Strut Studio. Administrators do not have a routine inbox for browsing private DMs. When a conversation participant reports a message, authorized safety reviewers receive a case-scoped copy of that message, available attached media and its reply preview, plus the reporter's note. Other messages in the DM are not included in the ordinary report flow.
Limited message access may also occur when required for a valid legal request, a security incident, fraud or payment-dispute review, or support requested by a participant. Moderator access to report queues and report targets is role-restricted and audited.
Message Metadata and Retention
We store conversation participants, delivery and read state, timestamps, attachment references, and other limited metadata needed to operate DMs. Message content remains available to conversation participants until it is unsent, deleted through an account process, or removed under applicable retention and legal obligations. Case-scoped report evidence is scheduled for removal or de-identification 180 days after a report is resolved or closed, unless a valid legal, security, fraud, payment, or safety need requires the case to remain open longer.
Your Choices
You can update profile details, manage saved and liked content, block or mute users, report content, deactivate your account, or request deletion from inside the app where available. Some records may be retained when needed for payment, chargeback, fraud-prevention, tax, legal, safety, or dispute reasons.
Contact
For privacy, safety, account, or deletion questions, open Support Inbox in Strut Studio Settings and send a private support request. Replies remain available in that support thread. General questions may also be sent to hello@strutstudioapp.com.
